Vernets Primary School in Geneva

Competition Entry, 2018

The project Praille-Acacias-Vernets (PAV) is an ongoing urban development, aiming to transform former industrial areas of the cities of Geneva, Carouge and Lancy into housing, offices, public buildings and commercial areas. The first step of this ambitious project is the conversion of the Vernets barracks, located on the left bank of the Arve River, into a housing area of 1,500 apartments and related services. The primary school building is designed as a central point of the neighborhood, with some parts open to the public outside school hours.
