Shighisoara Train Station

Refurbishment, 2003-2007

The building of Sighișoara station was built in 1872 and has undergone several transformations over time, carried out according to current needs.

Within the project, which started in 2003 and was completed in 2007, the station was significantly transformed from a structural and spatial point of view, and the facades were remodeled. The aim was on the one hand to adapt to the current norms, and on the other hand to create a real gateway to the city of Sighisoara, which attracts a large number of tourists. In the central body was created a generous zenith-lit hall, which contains the ticket offices and the waiting room, and in the side bodies are distributed various operational and commercial functions.
